Pastor Arol grew up in Southern California in the Los Angeles area. Growing up he had the opportunity to observe pastoral ministry from the perspective of his parents who served on church staffs throughout Arol’s life. Arol saw God work first hand through his mom’s role in children’s ministry and his dad’s experience in leading a congregation as the senior pastor. It was in their ministry that Arol first understood his need for Jesus and asked Him to lead the rest of his life. During this time God used several volunteer workers in Arol’s life to establish a passion and drive to serve in the local body of believers.
Arol moved to Chicago in the summer of 1995 to attend Moody Bible Institute for pastoral training where he majored in communications. During the years at Moody, Arol grabbed any chance he could get to learn more about being a pastor to students. After two internships (one in California and one in northern Illinois), Arol was called to be a part time pastor at Minooka Bible Church in the winter of 1998. Shortly after being hired on at MBC, Arol married the love of his life, Julie, whom he met at MBI and who had partnered with him already in the youth ministry at the church. If you know anything about Arol you know that he would be nothing without Julie. Arol and Julie began to lay a foundation for ICE and 360, the student ministries at MBC. After graduating from Moody, Arol was hired on full time and went on to complete his Masters in Ministry from MBI. Through the years, Arol and Julie have enjoyed 3 awesome additions to their family in Micah, Carson, and Rylan.
After ten years of serving in student ministries at MBC, Arol is now transitioning into our Family Pastor and is excited to see God glorified in the lives of kids throughout our community.
