When:  2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 9-11 a.m. The first meeting of the 2009-2010 year will be held on September  9th. The last meeting will be April 28, 2010. (Please note there will be no meeting on December 23, 2009.

How: Registrations will be accepted on a first come- first served basis. Stop by MBC and go to the MOPS bulletin board (near the nurseries). All of the necessary forms are provided there with instructions. If you can’t stop by, you can download the forms by clicking on the links below. Please fill out one MOPPET registration form per child that will be attending the MOPPET program. *Once the MOPPET program has been closed, we will close MOPS registrations as well. We will then begin a waiting list for mothers that would like to attend MOPS. Anyone on the waiting list is always welcome to attend if they provide their own childcare. Hello Moms!

Welcome to MOPS! If this is your first time at a MOPS meeting, we want to extend a very warm welcome to each of you. If you’re a “seasoned” MOPS mom, we know that you are as excited as we are to participate in MOPS.

We are so thrilled about the upcoming MOPS year! Our theme for the 2009-2010 season is “Together on Planet Mom”.  We all know that mothering is HARD work. It is both challenging and rewarding, but it can also be very draining. Life is filled with seasons of change; mothering is no different. Some days we feel in control of our attitudes, but other days, we fill like we could pull our hair out! Some days are filled with peace, but others are totally chaotic. At MOPS, you will find lots of other women who are facing the same challenges.  Get ready to make lots of new friends, develop your talents, and expand your horizons. We’ve got a lot of exciting topics planned for discussion that will help each of us become better, moms, wives, and women.

We welcome any suggestions and ideas you might have to make this the best MOPS group possible. Our vision here at MBC MOPS is for moms to build relationships, learn new life skills, grow in knowledge about the Christian faith and leadership. We want to provide the encouragement, nurturing, and support that you need as a mother to preschoolers. We’ve got lots of fun things planned with 14 meetings from September through April, and hope that you will all join in on the fun!

To encourage more relationship building, we’ve planned some socials and family days outside of our regular MOPS meetings.  In this busy season of our lives, it’s so easy to feel insignificant, unrecognized, and unimportant.  As Mothers of Preschoolers, what we do each day sometimes seems so routine and mundane.  We often question who WE are, and what our purpose is…we wonder if ther has to be more to life…Well, we believe you will discover the answers to these questions and more as you become actively involved in MOPS.  Each of us has been uniquely chosen to be the mother of our children, and what we are doing truly does make a difference.

Again, thank you for joing us. We sincerely hope that relationships formed in this MOPS group will change your life for years to come.
